Hi, I’m Linda Hubbard, the Academic Coach at San Jose College Prep. I have over 30 years of teaching experience in Jacksonville, Florida. I was fortunate to begin my teaching career as a Science teacher at Northwestern. At Lee High I taught Biology, Earth-Space Science, Physical Science, and Anatomy. I flourished at an alternative (disciplinary) school where I had opportunities to learn how to quickly build strong and lasting relationships with my students. (I say this because I’ve also taught their children, as well.) At Darnell-Cookman and Julia Landon I taught World History, Language Arts and both Intensive and Gifted Reading. At San Jose I concentrate on finding solutions for not only reading, math and comprehension challenges, but also organizational, time-management and motivational concerns. I love SJCP! This will be my fifth year. I am certified in Reading, Math, English for Speakers of Other Languages, English, Gifted, Biology, Earth-Space Science and Elementary Education. My degree is from Jacksonville University. I am happily married and have four children, four grandchildren and a very needy Poodle.
