Mr. Williams comes to San Jose Preparatory School having been in Higher Education for 15 years. Mr. Williams has served colleges as a Professor of English, Writing Program Administrator, and Quality Enhancement Plan Director, and he has worked with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS COC) Leadership Team. He presented to the SACS COC On-Site Review team about the establishment of a writing program at a local HBCU and established a Writing Center in a four-year private institution. Mr. Williams served on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Writing Center Association (SWCA) as the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Representative. He is a peer-reviewer for Southern Discourse in the Center: A Journal of Writing Center Innovation. He has chaired sessions at the Conference on College Composition and Communication as well as the Florida College Learning Center Association (FCLCA). Mr Williams has also presented for the Council for Writing Program Administrators as well as the American Psychological Association’s Teaching of Psychology Annual Conference about Writing Across the Curriculum. Mr. Williams holds an Associate of Arts from Florida Community College at Jacksonville, a Bachelor of Arts from Jacksonville University in English, a Master of Arts in English with a specialization in Rhetoric from National University. He is excited to join the San Jose College Preparatory High School for the third year teaching a combination of Dual Enrollment College courses and high school English classes.
