School administration met today to review all operations, building deep cleaning and planning for virtual instruction.
This week will be considered an extended spring break and students will not have to complete work for their on campus classes. Dual Enrollment students with classes through FSCJ and Doral College must follow each college's guidelines and requirements for work submission as they are still held responsible for their assignments. Students with courses on Edgenuity should continue to work on these classes, especially Juniors and Seniors completing graduation requirements.
If parents have general school questions, you can email info@sanjoseprep.org and we will have staff monitoring that email address. We are asking students and parents not to come to campus- most questions/issues we will be able to resolve via email and phone (725-1725). We will have someone monitoring the phone Monday through Thursday.
School administration will continue to monitor CDC, the Superintendent's office and Mayor Curry's office for directives. Mrs. Knapp will continue to keep parents informed via Facebook, app notifications, emails and phone calls. A detailed newsletter is expected to go out tomorrow (Tuesday, March 17).
Should the school closure extend into next week, we will notify families by Thursday, March 19 and virtual instruction would begin on Monday, March 23.
Sunday, March 15th - 5pm
We will be updating this page everyday by 5pm.
School administration will be meeting tomorrow to ensure that the building has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We will continue to prepare the building for school return. We will also have hand sanitizer stations set up around the school for student and staff usage. We have secured additional hand sanitizer for each classroom. We have also ensured that we have plenty of hand soap in all of the restrooms.
One of the things we will be solidifying is what would occur in the event of a long term shut down and moving instruction to our online platform.

Friday, March 13th - 5pm
